Joining the sales team of Racine County Eye is William “Wil” Leverson. Wil describes himself as an “enigmatic, energetic self-starter” who has over 15 years “optimizing administrative processes for military and civilian clients.”

As a business development specialist, Wil’s role includes helping Racine County businesses connect their message with Racine County Eye’s audience, which exceeds 40,000 people on a monthly basis. His primary focus will be helping businesses enhance their word of mouth marketing message through the Greater Racine Guides, sponsorship opportunities, and our jobs board.

“I am very excited to have Wil on board as a business development specialist,” said Denise Lockwood, owner of the Racine County Eye.

“By adhering to the business ethos of perpetuity and reciprocity,” Wil has fostered effectual spending discipline, in order to facilitate continued growth for small for-profit and non-profit businesses, as well as civic organizations. Wil is also an Active Duty Naval Service Veteran, former political caucus chairman, and City of Racine Alderman District 15 Candidate.

Having operated two business, Wil knows the importance of marketing and advertising. He co-founded Heavy Holdings LLC, a small business growth and acquisition company, in St. Petersburg, Florida, and operated BelleStone Diversity Consulting.

“Wil has a strong understanding of how businesses need to see a return on investment for their advertising dollar because he has been a business owner himself,” Lockwood said.

After being displaced from Florida in the aftermath of 2018’s Hurricane Irma, Wil returned to Racine where he has worked at the City of Racine Clerk’s Office. Wil has two children Yailyn (Lyn) Leverson and Michael Alexander Leverson.
