Allie Miller, a native of Sturtevant and graduate of Union Grove High School, is a member of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women’s tennis team, which will host seven teams for the first three rounds of the NCAA Division III Championship this Friday-Sunday at Wangerin Courts in Whitewater.

Miller, a sophomore at UW-Whitewater, is majoring in elementary education.

The Warhawks (12-11 overall) will face St. Scholastica (Minn.), the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference champion, on Friday at 10 a.m.

Other first-round matchups include Lake Forest (Ill.) against Luther (Iowa) and No. 27 Carleton (Minn.) against Edgewood.

No. 12 Chicago has a bye to the second round and will face the winner of the Lake Forest-Luther match.

UW-Whitewater claimed its 12th straight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship in the fall and won the WIAC Team Tournament on April 27 to punch a ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the 12th consecutive year.
