New Documentary “Reinventing Power” Premieres in Racine

premiere reinventing power

A new documentary by the Sierra Club, “Reinventing Power: America’s Renewable Energy Boom” will be shown for the first time in Racine on Wednesday evening at the River Bend Nature Center. The film shares stories directly from the people making our clean energy future achievable and those whose lives have been changed by the quickly growing industry. These individuals are working to rebuild what’s broken, rethink what’s possible, and revitalize communities. Reinventing Power underscores the notion that we don’t have to sacrifice jobs for a clean environment. Over the film’s 50 minutes, you’ll meet people in eight states whose lives were changed by the renewable energy industry while exploring various aspects of the clean energy industry from innovation to installation.

This is a free film showing and discussion of “Reinventing Power: America’s Renewable Energy Boom.” Post-film discussion includes speakers Greta Neubauer, Wisconsin State Assembly Representative for the 66th District, and Elizabeth Hittman, Environmental Sustainability Program Coordinator for the City of Milwaukee.
