Racine Police seek additional info on Thursday morning fatal shooting

Thursday morning at 4:32 a.m. Racine Police department officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 1900 block of Hickory Grove Avenue. Responding officers located a victim in the alley to the east of Hickory Grove Avenue who was suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to information provided by RPD, life-saving efforts were attempted but were unsuccessful.

The victim is a 36-year-old male. An active investigation is underway and no one is in custody in connection with the shooting.

Racine Police investigators are seeking additional information anyone may have regarding the crime. Witnesses or others with information are urged to call the department’s Investigations Unit at 262-635-7756.
