Two Kenosha men were arrested by deputies with the Racine County Sheriff’s Department early Friday morning after they stole plumbing materials from a local business.

During a routine patrol, a deputy found a suspicious vehicle parked in a parking lot at Hitter’s Baseball, 2915 W 6 1/2 Mile Road. A man, who was stealing plumbing materials from SouthPort Heating and Cooling, was found inside the truck, according to a press release by the Racine County Sheriff’s Department.

The man told the deputy that a second person was with him, but he fled the area when he saw the squad car pull in. A K-9 unit was brought on scene to assist with the search. The second suspect was found in a bathroom at a local gas station on 7 Mile Road. He was arrested without incident.

One of the suspects had been arrested earlier in the year by the same deputy.

We’ll update the story when we receive more information.
