Larry Karls Loved Being A Mechanic

Larry Karls

Lawrence F. “Larry” Karls, 66, passed away on Christmas day at Ascension All Saints Medical Center.  He was born in Racine on November 7, 1951, and was the son of the late William and Marie (nee:  Ozowski) Karls.

Larry was a graduate of Washington Park High School “Class of 1969”.  On January 12, 1974 he was united in marriage to Karen E. Metz who preceded him in death on June 13, 1995.  Larry loved fixing cars and was employed as a mechanic for many years.  He was a huge NASCAR and Chicago Bears fan who also enjoyed the Cubs, Bulls, and Badgers.

He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Amanda “Mandi” (Chuck) Holmberg; his grand dog, Eli; sisters and brothers, Debbie Peasley, Mary (Rob) Becker, Pat Karls, Jay (Pati) Karls; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.  In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda and brother-in-law, Dave Peasley.

Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home.  In honor of Larry, all are encouraged to wear your Bears or automotive gear.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family have been suggested.
