This Racine County August weekend you can fly high, rock out and just enjoy family fun. Real Racine has you covered.

Fly or drive. A free transportation celebration is planned for 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday at the annual Burlington Airport Fly-In/Drive-In, 703 Airport Drive. Nearly 100 aircraft and as many classic cars that can fit in the parking area are expected. You can also see an equipment display by the Burlington Fire Department and the Woodcrafters model train display. Rides on a vintage open cockpit biplane will be offered for purchase from Gypsy Air Tours all day. If you get hungry, the B*Dazzled! High school vocal ensemble will be serving breakfast. Lunch will be served by Burlington firefighters.

Radio controlled, too. Mount Pleasant will have its own busy “airport” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday for the Racine R/C Club Air Show. Radio-controlled aircraft of all shapes and sizes will be welcomed at the club’s flying field at 10530 Washington Ave. (Hwy 20), or about two miles east of I-94. Watch for the signs. The pilot landing fee is $5; free for spectators. There will also be refreshments available for purchase and a 50/50 raffle. Visit www.racinercclub.com

Rockin’ in Franksville. The WIIL Rock Fest is coming to Caledonia-Mount Pleasant Park, 9614 Hwy K, Franksville. This one-day, rock music festival features 40 bands on four stages from at 10 a.m. to midnight Saturday. General admission is $47. A VIP package is available at $110. Parking is $10. Fridays are fun. August’s Third Friday celebration in Downtown Racine runs from 4 to 9 p.m. THIS Friday. Mean Jake performs at Monument Square and you can stroll the Downtown business district for shopping, food and beverage specials. Details at www.racinefirstfridays.com

Rides, music and more. Another Caledonia festival is on the way. St. Rita Parish Family Festival, 4339 Douglas Ave., has carnival rides, food, bingo and live music all weekend. Evening music headliners are Culture Shock Chicago on Friday, 4 Grand on Saturday and Pat McCurdy on Sunday. Festival hours are 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday, 12 noon to 12 midnight on Saturday and 12 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Promoting community. Peacefest 2015, a free community information and family celebration, is 12 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Quarry Lake Park, 3800 Northwestern Ave. The event includes Racine Fire Department Safety House, Racine Police Department K9 units, a kids fishing clinic, 16 Acres Equine horses, music and games. Food and refreshments available for purchase and a silent auction will benefit the Racine Human Trafficking Task Force. Visit http://racinepeacefest.org/
