Man threatens woman after porn Police

A Racine man had his first appearance in circuit court Friday after being charged in May with assaulting and threatening to kill his girlfriend.

Rodney Bell, 34, argued with the woman on May 19, after she found a video of Bell having sex with another woman on her bed. After the argument, Bell showed up at her house. He then kicked her door down, pointed a black .38 pistol at her, and threatened to kill her, according to a criminal complaint by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office.

When police initially responded they detained Bell, but they had to let him go. She told police he wasn’t responsible for any assault or breaking her door down. After they left, Bell threatened to kill her. He then smacked her on the cheek with his pistol. When police arrived a second time, she had a scratch on her cheek and her left ear was bleeding.

Police were unable to recover the pistol because Bell hid it when they first arrived. He doesn’t have a home, but rather lives at multiple women’s addresses.

Bell had a no contact restriction for past violent incidents with the woman, who told police she believed Bell would eventually follow through with his threat to murder her.

He is charged with battery, criminal damage to property, stalking, intentionally point a firearm at a person and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.
