A Racine man, who is a convicted felon, was arrested Wednesday morning in the 1300 block of Marquette Street for selling rifles and drugs to an undercover agent.
Reginald Brown, 49, sold four rifles, a shotgun, and body armor to an undercover agent with the by the Racine County Metro Drug Unit. Included in the buy was an SKS assault-type rifle, according to a press release by the Racine County Sheriff’s Department.
Law enforcement officials with the Racine Metro Drug Unit and Racine County SWAT Team executed a search warrant at 6 a.m. During the investigation, agents found Brown inside the home. Agents confiscated 1.5 grams of heroin, 2.6 grams of marijuana, three digital scales, packaging materials, $840 in US currency, and several hundred rounds of ammunition in multiple calibers.
Investigators arrested Brown on the following charges:
- Five counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Possession with intent to deliver heroin
- Keeper of a drug place
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Formal charges by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office have not been issued. Brown is being held at the Racine County Jail on a $42,600 bail.
