Annual Doll Buggy Parade Scheduled For June 28

City of Racine Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services (PRCS) will hold the
annual Playground 4th of July “Doll Buggy” Parades on Thursday, June 28, at 6:30 p.m.
Children from playgrounds throughout Racine may participate by decorating bikes,
wagons and scooters. Participants may also decorate themselves or build their own
float.
Interested participants may pick up crepe paper for decorating during the week prior to
parades. These materials are available from playground leaders at neighborhood dropin
playground sites.
PARADES WILL BE HELD AT THE FOLLOWING SITES:
Bryant Community Center
Fratt School (police escort)
Greencrest Park
Dr. King Community Center
Lakeview Park
Matson Park (police escort)
Solbraa Park (police escort)
Tyler-Domer Community Center

Children involved in registered playground programs (Future, Play It Again and The
BIGS) will participate in the parades listed above. Parents should ask their playground
leaders for information about park assignments for this special event.
Children participating in the Kiddie Korner registered playground program will participate
in parades at their own playground sites on Thursday, June 28, during their regular
playground sessions.
