A person was shot at 6 a.m. near 13th Avenue and Vine Street in Union Grove Thursday morning.
Limited information has been released by the Racine County Sheriff’s Department. The person shot has been taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive. A suspect has been taken into custody, according to a press release.
The name of the person shot and the suspect has not been released.
“From the information gathered at this time, we do not believe there is any further danger to the community,” the press release reads.
The investigation is ongoing. We will update the story when we receive more information.
